Cats tend to have wildly varied personalities, but there are a few things that almost every cat I've had has done. [livejournal.com profile] lady_black_cat take heed.

1. Kisses - When a cat touches their face to yours.

2. NASCAR - When the cat races around the house at high speeds.

3. Death from above - When a cat jumps on you from above in an attempt to get you to play.

4. Tracking - Leaving kitty litter everywhere because its caught between their toes.

5. Y helo thar - A sudden cold nose on an exposed body part or a head poked under a blanket.

6. WTF you doin? - The look a cat gives you when you nearly trip over them.

7. OMGWTF! - The look a cat gives you when they are successful at tripping you up.

8. Mine now - What they're saying when they mark something (including you) as theirs.

9. Slut - What your cat thinks of you when you smell like any pet that isn't them.

10. YAY! - A clean litterbox.

11. I hate you! - A dirty litterbox.

12. TeeHee! - How your cat feels when they get onto something they're not allowed to be on(shelves, aquariums, counters...).

13. Ohshit - Your cat's reaction to being discovered in the act of #12.

14. WHOO HOO! - Catnip.

15. Wry you do dis? - The look Ginger gave me when she almost accidentally took a shower with me.

16. Hey! I was playing with that! - The look I was given after confiscating a live beetle the girls had caught.

Ahahah, that's great!

Orca has her "o hay you seem to have missed my head" trill, for when we walk past her without scritching her X3 Cutest thing ever. Cats are amazing.

XD Thats adorable!

Cats are amazing. Abby doesn't meow for pettings but she will rear up on her hind legs and pat my arm until I start petting her.

Things are going to be interesting for [livejournal.com profile] lady_black_cat after she adopts her first cat. My cats like her, so I don't think she'd believe me if I told her that they're actually on their best behavior when she's here.

Yes, I love my kitties. And haha! Orca does that too! How funny :D

Lol, that'll be fun X3 I always thought cats were such peaceful, well behaved creatures until we got ours... my goodness the things they do. Orca, the cute sweet thing I've been discussing, /loves/ to pull all the clothes out of the dresser and then hide. And then there's the $200+ cords Nebu has chewed (none were plugged in thank goodness), the scratched up carpet... cats are a fine mix of evil and cute =P!

My family had outside cats for years* so I knew cats were kinda crazy, but having indoor cats is a completely different experience.

I was infuriated when Kali stole my ipod and ate the headphones. But one time when I was sick she climbed into bed with me and started purring, of course she then climbed onto my back and sat down right between my shoulder blades. Damn cat. XD

*We'd had indoor cats before, but after Gato gave me an interesting scar above my eye as a toddler he went to go live with a family friend and we stopped having house cats.

Oddly enough, out of the 15, I'm only concerned about #s 2, 3, 4 and 12.

And really? Are the cats really well-behaved when I'm there? I had no idea. I wonder how the cats would've behaved if they didn't like me?

They do worse things, I just couldn't remember them at the time. XD

If they didn't like you they wouldn't interact with you at all. But they do like you so they treat you like any other member of the family, you're just not here when they go crazy.

Once upon a time, Leo found out how to climb my bookshelf by hopping onto my portable ac to use for that intermediary step needed to reach the desired destination. It was quite a view I guess. Well, one day he decided to jump down. He used me as his personal landing space. He landed di-rectly in the center of my chest with his front two paws. I guess he wanted to maximize the pounds per square inch damage. I was sound asleep when he decided to do this, but I sprang up really fast and catapulted Leo from my chest.

O_o Ouch, you have my sympathy. Kali has only tried that from the back of the couch with me, ten pounds of cat to the gut is not a nice way to wake up.
